I finished this shirt earlier this month, but didn't get a chance to photograph it the first time I wore it.
This knit fabric is less drapey than my wearable muslin, so the sleeves stick out a bit. But it was super quick make if I don’t account for the time spent pressing out the wrinkles and trueing up the fabric before cutting out the patterns.
All seams were serged with a 4-thread overlock stitch, including the self-ribbing. I used Steam-A-Seam on the hems to stabilise them prior to stitching them down with a twin-needle. A few stitches were skipped, but I could live with it -- or without those stitches?
Fabric: Poly-cotton blend(?) from Spotlight c. 2010
Pattern: Kristen Kimono Tee from Maria Denmark
Time to complete: 3 hours (trueing up took ages again)
First worn: A very casual Friday at work, 3 August 2012
Wear again? Yes, for days when I want comfort over style.
