I remember the days when I didn't have Internet on my phone. I used to write on the train instead of surfing the 'net or catching up on my humongous blog roll.
But this post is coming to you from the train as the once fast Telstra 3G has become unbearably slow. Is it the other 1,354 people on the train checking in on Facebook*? Or is this a Telstra strategy to make me switch from my old iPhone to one of their 4G androids and lock me in on another 2-year contract?
Humph! Then I shall write instead.
My, how seemingly effortless it is to type with my two thumbs. Back in the heyday of Pocket PCs**, I was still using a stylus and using the Palm PDA script which I had to learn because that was what my old phone recognised.
I do know two-thumb typing will soon cause me pain, so I do wish Apple would hurry along and make an Aussie 4G-compatible phone.
In the meantime, let's see if I can finish this post before my stop.***
*I deleted my Facebook account with the full intention of creating a new one with a stricter friend request acceptance policy. But it's been weeks and I haven't felt like logging in to my new friendless account.
**Oh how I loved my O2 XDA II phone that I got for free in the Philippines, but sadly left in cab in Singapore after two years of surreptitiously watching countless House episodes on it at my dead end job in Singapore.
*** I didn't. I'm now at home about to click "Publish".
