Inventory: Concealers and Eye Primers

This post was meant to be about the few concealers I have until I was typing the name of one concealer and found out it doubles up as an eye base.

I may have to rethink the word few as I have seven concealers yet I always skip concealer even if I allot two hours to do my makeup.

  1. Almay Bright Eyes Eye Base + Concealer in 125 Light/Medium - Just found out now that I can use this as an eye primer. Learn something new everyday!
  2. Almay Line Smoothing Concealer - Can't make find the shade, but most definitely a medium, but line smoothing, it ain't.
  3. Clinique Airbrush Concealer in 02 Medium - good shade for blemishes, a bit too dark for my under eyes
  4. Clinique Airbrush Concealer in 04 Neutral Fair - too light
  5. Garnier Youthful Radiance Anti-Dark Circles Roll-On Concealer - Have used this as foundation in a pinch -- after showering at the gym.
  6. Nude by Night Flawless Concealer in Medium - super thick, have never used.
  7. Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light Peach - should be good if I take the time to learn how to use it.
Eye Primers
Face primers may not work on me, but I do know eye primers are magical. Always had eyeshadow fading and creasing issues until I discovered UDPP and TFSI.
  1. Face of Australia Eye Primer in Matte - Good for making cheap eyeshadows stick, can make blending difficult, can be too pale for medium to dark skin tones, does not make eyeshadows last a long time, can crease if applied too thickly.
  2. Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion (samples x 3 with one at work) - Really does make eyeshadows last the whole day on me. Love it!
  3. Too Faced Shadow Insurance (sample) - Works just as well as UDPP on me.
  4. Too Faced Shadow Insurance Glitter Glue - Have not really used this much so can't tell if it works.

  1. Hehe, you have concealers like I have bronzers, Jos - I have a handful but don't really need/use them! It happens ;)

I've heard a lot of good things about the Too Faced Shadow Insurance, but haven't tried it. Right now I use NARS Smudgeproof (though I don't use eye primers unless going out), but when that runs out I might try Too Faced out! I've used UDPP and loved it, but found it a touch drying and make my makeup a bit hard to blend.

    1. I love both TFSI and UDPP, but I haven't really paid that much attention to notice any difference between them. Maybe if I wore eyeshadow everyday I'd notice :)
