I used to be a nail polish junkie in my uni days, staring at my strangely painted nails during class kept me from getting too bored. These days I need all the help I can get to avoid falling off my chair at work.
This colour really makes me happy! And after reading and watching You’ve Got Nail’s tutorial, the polish wasn’t too difficult to apply this time around (my first try was just so awful I had to remove it). For someone who doesn’t own any nail polish that is over $10, I’m quite happy with the quality of this polish. Rimmel’s flat brush seems better than the Revlon I tried to use for my wedding (ended up with clear polish instead).
I spent over an hour applying this pretty Rimmel polish on my hands and feet. I used to be lazy and just do one coat of polish, but for the first time, I used a base coat, 2 coats of polish and a top coat. Luckily I only had to redo my two index fingers. I woke up the following day with a bit of imprint on my thumbnail, but I decided I could live with it. As per Dempeaux’s suggestion, I plan reapply top coat every other day or so to make the polish last longer.
I did use Revlon’s Quick Dry Top Coat and Quick Dry Base Coat which I’m pretty happy with even though they have thin round brushes.
