So a new Brother NS30 was bought and paid for last week. And it's fantastic -- it's so easy to use and I love the bells and whistles. So much so that I've made a wrap skirt and drawstring pants in the last week.
Yes, I'm slow. The sewing machine's great. But I still have to slog through the process of cutting and resizing pattern paper, pinning paper to fabric and cutting fabric. Not to mention the numerous times I have to read and re-read my sewing book and the sewing machine manual -- I actually have to make a note to read them carefully as I usually tend to skim instructions and just wing it.
Although I still can't sew straight and I used inexpensive fabrics for these projects, I'm pretty happy with how they turned out that I might just wear them to the farm this weekend.

Although on my last post I extolled the virtues of my brand new sewing machine (not really), I still wish I'd bought the NS50. It would've been nice to stitch letters and numbers onto what I sew -- like gift bags, cards etc.
Sigh. Sigh. Sigh.
